America's Wild South

In an off-road camper from the heights of Bolivia to the glacier world of Patagonia

A couple realizes their dream

For a year, Nataša and Stephan Hübner travel the south of what is perhaps the most beautiful continent on earth. They take the viewer along over 40000 kilometers into the fantastic landscapes between the beaches of Uruguay, the highlands of Bolivia and the glaciated mountains of Patagonia.

In a yacht harbor in Uruguay, the two of them almost stumble over a sea lion at dawn. They drive via Brazil and Paraguay into the indigenous mountains of northern Argentina.

Closer to land and people through vehicle problems

There, Patty, a Nissan Patrol with an expedition cabin, soon takes over the further route planning with its engine problems. This brought the two almost nervous breakdowns in front of different workshops, but also warmest and intensive encounters with the country and its people.

Glacier

The two reach southern Patagonia in April. It's autumn and the crowds of tourists have long since left. But you are lucky and experience this grandiose glacier and mountain world in the most beautiful colors of the Indian Summer!

volcanoes and salt lakes

They actually reach the largest salt pan in the world in Bolivia much too late and in the rainy season. The two are rewarded with exciting pictures on hour-long journeys across the water-covered salt lake. Chile fascinates with snow-covered volcanoes, the driest desert on earth and the green and untameable nature of the south. There they meet Marcelo, an artist who studied in Germany many years ago. It gives you even more intensive insights into this fantastic country.

Let yourself be carried away by personal stories and fascinating photographs.
